Registration for the fall semester begins in April. Registration for the spring semester begins in October. The Office of the Registrar mails registration packets to continuing students shortly before Tele-BEARS begins. If you do not receive your registration packet in the mail, contact the Registrar's Office.

To access the Tele-BEARS system, declared ES majors in the College of Natural Resources must get their Advisor Code from the ES advisor. This four digit number changes every term. You cannot register without the new code.

Each student must complete a Tele-BEARS form and make an appointment with the ES advisor to receive the AC. At the appointment, the ES Advisor will review the student's classes. If the courses are approved, the advisor will release the AC. Students who are unsure about what they want to take for the upcoming semester should make an extra long appointment to allow for plenty of discussion time with the advisor.

IMPORTANT: The ES advisor cannot release advisor codes over the phone or through email. (See the special instructions for students who are abroad.) During Tele-BEARS time, the ES advisor will have 15 minute appointment times and limited drop-in hours. It is the students' responsibility to make arrangements for getting their ACs before their Phase 1 registration time begins.

Summary of steps to get your AC:
  1. Review the online Schedule of Classes.
  2. Select courses that you are interested in taking.
  3. Plan your tentative schedule. Keep in mind what requirements you still have to take and remember that the key to a successful schedule is BALANCE! Make sure that you have a mix of courses. Plan your class times so that they work for you (don't take an 8:00 class if you are a night owl!). Be sure to watch for the final exam schedule.
  4. Make an appointment to see the ES Advisor.
  5. Complete as much of the Tele-BEARS form as you can.
  6. At your appointment, you and the ES advisor will go over your progress in the major, discuss your intended schedule, and answer any questions that you have. Then, you will get your AC.
  7. Wait for your priority registration Tele-BEARS date and timeslot to enroll.
