The
College of Natural Resources has its own deadlines for administrative
actions. The dates may be different from other colleges on campus. ES
majors in CNR must adhere to all CNR deadlines and policies.
Deadlines and procedures
for the following are below:
A complete academic
calendar, and a complete student
calendar are available from the Registrar's Office. Students should
also review the CNR
Handbook. Additional information is available through the General
Catalog and the Schedule of
Classes. Direct questions to the Office
of Instruction and Student Affairs or the ES
advisor.The lists below are
not comprehensive. See the sources above for other dates or contact the ES advisor. It is the student's responsibility
to meet all CNR and university deadlines.
For deadline details see the add/drop deadlines page on the web site of the Office of the Registrar.
Adding
or Dropping Classes
The deadline to
add or drop classes is the end of the fifth week of instruction. Adding classes
during weeks 1-5 can be done using Tele-Bears while making sure you notify the ES advisor of
your schedule changes. After the fifth week adding or dropping a course requires Dean's approval if there are extenuating circumstances
(e.g. a documented illness or family emergency). Requests based on lack
of knowledge of your course registration status will not be approved. A fee for adding or dropping may be charged. For details see the add/drop deadlines page on the web site of the Office of the Registrar.
Students who are
dropping below thirteen units at any time must also obtain the permission
of the Office of Instruction
and Student Affairs (260 Mulford) by submitting either a Work
Verification form or a Blue
Student's Petition explaining why a reduced unit load is needed.

your schedule changes.
[top]Putting
Yourself on the Degree List
When you are ready
to graduate, i.e., officially receive a bachelor´s degree, you must
declare your candidacy. This is known as "putting yourself on the
degree list." The deadline to declare your candidacy is the end
of the fifth week of classes. By putting yourself
on the degree list, you are informing the College
of Natural Resources that you are in the process of completing your
final courses and wish to be awarded a bachelor´s degree at the
end of the term. You can put yourself on the degree list in several ways.
- Use Tele-BEARS
while registering for the semester you intend to graduate. On your first
call to Tele-BEARS, enter the appropriate code. After the first call,
you can declare your candidacy by using option [4] from the Main Menu.
Tele-BEARS shuts down at the end of the fifth week of classes. Notify the CNR
Office of Instruction and Student Affairs, 260 Mulford
- File a petition
in the Office of the Registrar, 120 Sproul, by February 18. Note:
The Office of the Registrar
will charge you $5 after the third week of the semester.
To check whether
you are on the degree list, log on to Bear
